Living and creating in the heart of Colorado’s breathtaking San Luis Valley, we are constantly surrounded by the kind of natural beauty that fills your lungs, lifts your spirit, and sparks endless inspiration. Nestled between majestic mountain ranges and wide-open skies, it's no surprise that much of what we create at FaeMoon is deeply influenced by the outdoors.
Hiking is more than just a hobby for us—it’s a way of reconnecting with ourselves, each other, and the earth. We spend as much time as we can exploring nearby trails, discovering hidden alpine lakes, wandering through sun-dappled forests, and soaking in the colors of wildflowers, canyon walls, and ever-changing skies. These experiences leave lasting impressions, shaping the colors, textures, and themes we incorporate into our art.
There’s something magical about the way light filters through the trees, the quiet strength of a weathered rock face, or the vibrant flash of a butterfly wing on the trail. Whether we’re working with leather, resin, beads, natural materials, or photography, we often find ourselves drawing on moments like these—little pieces of the wilderness we carry home with us.
Every hike becomes part of the creative process. We return from our adventures not only feeling recharged, but often full of new ideas. Sometimes it’s a particular color palette from a sunset or a mountain meadow that finds its way into a suncatcher, leather bag or earring set. Other times, it’s the simple peace we find outdoors that inspires us to create something beautiful to share that same feeling with others.
We’re excited to share a few photos from some of our recent hiking adventures—just a small glimpse into the places that continue to fuel our imagination and creativity. Nature has given us so much, and we’re grateful every day to live and create in such an inspiring place.
Thank you for being a part of our journey.
